dc.description.abstractAn overview is given of three legume pastures with potentials as sources of crude protein and other important nutrients for livestock production in Botswana. This paper reviews distribution, plant description, agronomic characteristics, chemical composition and utilization in livestock production of Lucerne, lablab and L. leucocephala. Production and utilization of these 3 legumes for animal production will provide adequate nutrition and also reduce grazing pressure on natural ranges.en_US
