The mandate of the Faculty of Animal and Veterinary Sciences is to provide education and skills training in the science and practice of animal agriculture and animal health to support the sustainable development of the livestock sector in Botswana and the region. This mandate will be achieved through the offering of demand-driven curriculum, focussed collaborative research by both staff and graduate students and engagement of strategic stakeholders through service delivery. Through this mandate, FAVS aspires to be a center of excellence in animal agriculture, producing competent and market-ready graduates to serve in the livestock sector and its value chain.
